DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Design, to me, is a balance of responsibility, creativity, and respect. Shaped by international experience across diverse cultural and built environments, I believe meaningful spaces should give back to nature, honor craftsmanship, and thoughtfully bridge the past with the present. My approach integrates sustainability with artistry, drawing from local traditions, materials, and narratives to inform contemporary design. By reinterpreting tradition through a global yet contextual lens, I aim to create environments that are timeless, purposeful, and deeply connected to place.

PAST PROJECTS

Chinese Fine Dining Restaurant

Location: Canada
Client: Jumbo Lobster
Size: 28,261 sq. ft.

Project:

The new 28,000 sq. ft. Jumbo Lobster location reimagines the dining experience by blending traditional Chinese elements with contemporary design. A skylit reception, symbolic lion statues, and a striking geometric desk create a dynamic first impression, while the overall interior balances cultural heritage with modern aesthetics, resulting in a refined and memorable atmosphere that elevates both daily operations and guest experience.

ABOUT ME

Embark on an enchanting journey as I unveil the captivating world of home textiles, ignited by my family’s rich heritage.  From the vibrant streets of Hong Kong to China's textile realm, I have refined my skills as a showroom sales associate for office furniture and home textile product developer. Now, in the alluring city of Toronto, I am poised to manifest my dreams as an interior designer.

I recently finished my Bachelor's degree in Interior Design at Yorkville University; I am passionate about traditional building skills and net zero design. I like to work with designs that creatively integrate man-made and natural materials. I enjoy planting, making handmade soap, doing puzzles, and reading during my leisure time.

I also like to challenge my abilities and have participated in several competitions. I was awarded the silver award in the multiple rooms category of DDA Canada's students' competition 2022 and an honourable mention for the Formica student competition 2022. With experience on multiple commercial and residential projects and as an active member of ARIDO, I look forward to developing my career in the building industry.
